These Terms & Conditions apply to all Air Conditioning Re-Gas Service bookings made online with The Dursley Garage (“we”, “us”, “our”). By completing an online booking, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Air Conditioning Re-Gas Service
Our air conditioning services are carried out using professional equipment and industry-standard procedures.
An air conditioning re-gas service restores refrigerant levels where applicable and includes checks of system performance.
Please note:
- A re-gas does not guarantee that faults within the air conditioning system will be resolved.
- If a leak, compressor fault, electrical issue, or damaged component is present, additional diagnostics or repairs may be required.
- Vehicles with significant refrigerant leaks may not be suitable for re-gassing.
2. Online Booking & Payment
All air conditioning re-gas bookings are made online and must be paid in full at the time of booking.
We operate a fixed-price service with no deposits.
Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been successfully received.
3. Vehicle Information
Customers must provide accurate vehicle details, including:
- Vehicle registration number
- Correct refrigerant type (R134a or R1234yf)
Incorrect or incomplete information may result in:
- Delays to the appointment
- Cancellation of the booking
- The need to rebook the correct service
If the incorrect refrigerant type is booked, additional charges may apply where relevant.
4. Arrival & Timekeeping
Vehicles must arrive on time for the scheduled appointment.
If a customer is unable to attend their original time slot, we will allow the booking to be rearranged, subject to availability.
Late arrivals may result in the appointment being delayed or rescheduled.
5. Cancellations & Rearrangements
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable.
Customers who cannot attend their original appointment may request to rearrange the booking, subject to availability.
Rearrangement requests should be made as early as possible.
6. Vehicle Condition & Safety
Vehicles must be presented in a safe and serviceable condition.
We reserve the right to refuse to carry out an air conditioning service if a vehicle is:
- Unsafe to work on
- In a condition that poses a risk to staff or equipment
- Experiencing issues that prevent safe operation of the air conditioning system
7. Faults, Diagnostics & Repairs
If faults are identified during the service, we will explain our findings.
Additional repairs or diagnostic work will only be carried out with customer authorisation.
Repair costs are separate from the re-gas service fee.
If the system cannot hold gas due to leaks or faults, a refund may not be available where refrigerant and labour have already been used.
8. Leak Detection & Repeat Re-Gas Policy
If refrigerant gas escapes following an air conditioning service and further leak detection or diagnostic work is required, this work will be chargeable.
However, where:
- We subsequently identify and repair the fault ourselves; and
- The original refrigerant loss relates directly to that diagnosed fault
The Dursley Garage will not charge a second re-gas fee following completion of the repair work.
This goodwill policy applies only where the fault repair work is carried out by The Dursley Garage and does not apply where repairs are declined or completed elsewhere.
9. Data Protection
Personal information collected during booking is used solely for:
- Processing service bookings
- Contact regarding appointments
- Legal and regulatory record-keeping
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except where legally required.

10. Liability
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, leaks, or component failures identified during or after the service.
Our liability is limited to carrying out the air conditioning service with reasonable care and skill.
We cannot guarantee cooling performance if additional faults exist within the system.
11. Complaints
Any issues should be raised with us as soon as possible so we can investigate and resolve them promptly.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The most current version will always be available on our website.
