These Terms & Conditions apply to all MOT test bookings made online with The Dursley Garage (“we”, “us”, “our”). By completing an online booking, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. MOT Testing Service
- All MOT tests are carried out in accordance with DVSA regulations.
- An MOT certificate confirms that a vehicle meets the minimum legal requirements at the time of testing only.
- Passing an MOT does not guarantee the ongoing roadworthiness of a vehicle.
2. Online Booking & Payment
- All MOT bookings are made online and must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- We operate a fixed-price MOT with no deposits.
- Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been successfully received.
3. Vehicle Information
- Customers must provide accurate vehicle details, including registration number and vehicle type.
- Incorrect or incomplete information may result in:
- Delays to testing
- Cancellation of the appointment
- The need to rebook the correct MOT test
4. Arrival & Timekeeping
- Vehicles must arrive on time for the scheduled MOT appointment.
- If a customer is unable to attend their original time slot, we will allow the booking to be rearranged, subject to availability.
- Late arrivals may result in the MOT being delayed or rescheduled.
5. Cancellations & Rearrangements
- We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment time are non-refundable.
- Customers who cannot attend their original appointment may request to re-arrange the booking, subject to availability.
- Rearrangement requests should be made as early as possible.
6. Vehicle Condition & Safety
- Vehicles must be presented in a safe and testable condition.
- We reserve the right to refuse to carry out an MOT if a vehicle is:
- Unsafe to test or lift
- Excessively dirty, preventing proper inspection
- In a condition that poses a risk to staff or equipment
7. MOT Failures & Repairs
- If a vehicle fails its MOT, the reasons will be clearly explained.
- Any repair work is only carried out with customer authorisation.
- Repair costs are separate from the MOT test fee.
- Re-tests are offered in line with DVSA guidelines and garage policy.
8. Data Protection
- Personal information collected during booking is used solely for:
- Processing MOT bookings
- Contact regarding appointments
- Legal and regulatory record-keeping
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except where legally required.

9. Liability
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or wear-and-tear identified during the MOT.
- Our liability is limited to carrying out the MOT test with reasonable care and skill.
10. Complaints
- Any issues should be raised with us as soon as possible.
- MOT-related disputes may be referred to the DVSA if necessary.
11. Changes to These Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- The most current version will always be available on our website.
